How to make a teacup bird feeder – a simple tutorial
OOh, I do love a craft project that it both useful, thrifty and make use of recycled objects this tutorial on how to making a tea cup bird feeder is all that
This teacup bird feeder ticks all those boxes.
Do you want to know how I made it?
Well I have to say it was pretty easy and I pretty much made it up as I went along
First of all I bought a pretty little teacup from a charity shop and this one appropriately had a little bird on! I think it costs about £1.
I gathered my supplies
- cup and saucer
- gorilla glue
- thin rope
- bird seed
and then I got to work.
How to Make a Teacup Bird Feeder – step by step
Step 1 – I gathered everything I needed and read the gorilla glue instructions carefully.
Step 2. I glued the cup to the saucer, holding it firmly in place for 45 seconds and being careful not to glue my skin together!
Step 3. I cut 4 lengths of rope and attached them at a quarter spacing from each other to the bottom of the saucer using the Gorilla glue (it is totally amazing what this glue can stick together)
Step 4. I tied the ropes around a branch, popped in bird seed and that was IT! Simples.
Easy-Peasy. Really pretty and lovely for the birds.
Pin for later….
