Hi, how you doing?
Welcome to this week’s Naturally Crafty.
It is so cold at the moment and I wanted to embrace it in my crafting this week, as I am not a fan of the cold and need to work hard to find something good about it. I have seen a few versions of frozen ornaments flying around this winter and I wanted to have a go at making my own.
First my little one and I went on a lovely crisp (cold) nature walk. We had a look over the rooftops and found some pretty leaves and berries along the way.
Next we placed them on a plastic lid and poured a little water on top and place very steadily in the freezer.
A day later is tried to get it out in one piece and in my impatience broke it in to bits. But hey ho that’s crafting ! I carefully made holes where the berries had been with a sharp knife point (a knitting needle would work too)
Thread some string and hang from available bare branches!
A lovely embrace to the chilly weather

So pretty 🙂 If they disintegrate when you take them out of the mould you could just add a bit more water and re-freeze them – although I’d be too impatient to hang them up I think!
