What I love most about this recipe is not only is it an absolute taste sensation it is also super speedy and doesn’t contain any fancy ingredients so just perfect for busy parents!
Life is busy and cooking form scratch can feel so time consuming, when I find a recipe that is delicious and easy and so fast to make I share it with every busy mum or dad I know. I know if you give this recipe a go you will be blown away but how straightforward it is and it will become a staple in your home and a recipe you share time and again.
It’s important to help each other other with time saving hacks and oh chocolate – a cure all for a difficult day, always. I’m not sure I have ever met anyone who doesn’t love chocolate mousse it is definitely a crowd pleaser.
ColaCao Recipe
My star ingredient in this chocolate mousse is ColaCao,have you come across this yet? It is a wonderful cocoa powder with a unique and delicious taste.
It has been a leading brand of soluble cocoa in Spain since 1946 and today is an iconic brand enjoyed by children and adults worldwide. It is great to drink and absolutely a dream to cook with. What I love about it (other than the creamy soothing texture and the fabulous taste) is the fact is dissolves so, so easily.
The brand are committed to sustainability, the cocoa used in the whole range of ColaCao products is rainforest certified and this makes me happy too.
This is quality cocoa powder.
Super Easy Chocolate Mousse Recipe with ColaCao
Ingredients for Chocolate Mousse with ColaCao
-
500 ml double cream, chilled
-
65 g unsweetened cocoa powder, sifted
-
100 g icing sugar, sifted
-
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
-
¼ teaspoon fine salt (optional)

Method for Chocolate Mousse with ColaCao
Place all the ingredients in an electric mixing bowl and combine till smooth ( a minute max)
Now turn your mixer up to high speed and whisk till mousse stands in stiff peaks (3 minutes)
Scoop into your containers (I like to use small glasses) wrap in cling film and place in the fridge for 1 hour for one hour minimum to get the perfect mousse like texture we all know and love.
To serve
These delicious mousses are lovely garnished with mint and berries, a few nuts or crushed biscuit crumb. You could also pipe some lovely whipped cream on top for a little extra indulgence. You can serve them in a tumble, glass ramekin or a shot glass – anything you have really.
We made 2 HUGE portions but this could easily have been stretched to serve 6, it is very filling we were just being a bit greedy because it was so good!

If you try this recipe do let me know what you think!
