How to make a Pinecone Bird Feeder
I love pine cones. I think that they are just the perfect specimen for nature crafting and we have a fair abundance of them around at the moment.
Such a busy week here so we decided to head out for a little nature walk to calm our souls this past Easter weekend, and to walk off some of that chocolate.
We found lots of lovely pine cones and gathered them up filled with exciting plans.
Back home we decided to start with one of our favourite and simplest projects making a pinecone bird feeder. You will see lots of bird feeder recipes with lard but we are vegeatarians in our house so it’s peanut butter all the way here.
You will need
String
Pinecones
peanut butter
bird seed
How to make
you simply tie a piece of stink around the pinecone ready for hanging, Do this first as its definitely less messy this way
Spread the peanut butter onto your pinecone
Roll it in bird seed
Hang it up
It could could not be simpler really could it and such a lovely, easy craft for little and big kids ( like me!)
