Simple apple craft – ing
Last week I noticed that the apples on our trees were startling to redden and some of the leaves were tinged with gold. Autumn is on it’s way and the summers days are numbered. This makes me a little sad as the children will be heading back to school and the pace of life will quicken again. I am trying to embrace the new season whilst holding on to my children’s presence a little while longer.
I want to cram in baking and collaging, cinema trips and nature walks, bike riding and library trips, play-dates and oh so much more before they go back. But I also know we have to relax and not push it and squeeze in haircuts and a bit of prep too.
One craft we did find time for this week was this lovely simple apple craft.
What we used:
- PVA Glue
- Nature Finds
- Green Card
- Sharpie
How to make an apple collage:
- We googled ‘simple apple line drawing’ then printed it out and copied it
- We then collected lots of fallen bits and bobs from our garden
- Then we smeared PVA over the green card and stuck them on
Super simple and lots of fun!
We are considering doing a number of these apple collages and cutting them out. The plan is we will then painting a large bare tree and stick on real leaves and our apple collages. Won’t that look amazing?
Here’s to the last of the summer days.

I love your nature finds, so much texture and colour – it’s given me some inspiration for what to do with the flowers we’re pressing at the moment!
